Today many people are debating the issue of whether or not the child of God will be holy in his life. We have “Lordship Salvation” and “No Lordship Salvation” and probably everything possible in between.

The real question is this: What is Jesus to us? Is He our Savior? Is He a complete Savior, or is He a partial Savior? Paul said, “of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption ” (1Cor 1:30) KJV While we may not have been aware of all that Jesus is, when we trusted Him to save our souls we got the whole package; the One who is redemption and righteousness to us is also sanctification. To say that the child of God will not manifest holiness is to say that Jesus is not a complete Savior, that He saves from hell, but not from the sin that condemned us in the first place. That is obviously not so.

The promise of sanctification is seen clearly in the following passage: “The very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.” (1 Thess 5:23,24) KJV

Just musing…….
